I grew up in the Midwest and relocated with my family to Tucson, AZ in 1995. For as long as I can remember, I've loved interior design in some form or another, but didn't realize it was my calling until my early 20s. As a kid, I would rearrange my room several times in each house we moved into - until it "felt right." I would draw mansions and floor plans, and talk about the family that lived there. Long before I earned my degree, I found myself helping my friends and family shop for furniture and arrange their spaces so they felt good coming home. I would get an overwhelming sense of happiness seeing them ecstatic about their space - and that's when I realized this was what I wanted to do. 

 

I received my Bachelor of Interior Design with Honors from The Art Institute of Tucson. My career began over 12 years ago in furniture and window coverings, working for a prestigious furniture store in town, and evolved into hard finishes and kitchen + bath design, where I worked with a number of highly regarded local builders. These various opportunities provided me a well-rounded palette and allowed me to establish Mood Design. 

 

While I enjoy and excel in all styles of design, refined industrial is by far my favorite. I love the urban city vibes mixed with the  contemporary casual lifestyle of the Arizona desert.  When I'm not designing, I enjoy traveling and spending with my sister and cat Millie Merlot.
